However, there has still been time for some last minute birding! Yesterday I travelled through to Musselburgh and was lucky enough to be able to photograph this 1st winter Iceland Gull on the River Esk (indeed there is a possibility it may be a Kumlien's Gull). There was a bit of a panic as I picked it up whilst having a phone conversation with a Council officer re-interpretation signs at Hogganfield Park LNR - apologies for cutting you short Cath!
