With Covid restrictions continuing into February, I once again limited my bird watching to three locations in Glasgow seeing a total of 61 species and increasing my year list to 70 species.
I made 5 visits to Bingham's Pond; 1 visit to Dawsholm Park LNR (no photos) and 3 visits to Hogganfield Park LNR.
For much of the month the weather was cold resulting in waterbodies freezing over which meant getting close views of some species and being able to read the codes of ringed gulls.
The highlights were the Iceland Gull and Smew that could still be seen for much of the month at Hogganfield Loch.

As we move into March we may be lucky and start to see and hear a few summer migrants such as Sand Martin and Chiffchaff. In the meantime everyone stay safe.
