Blackcap in Garden!

A feature of recent SOC Clyde Grapevine reports has been Blackcaps coming to feeders in gardens throughout the Clyde area. Well, this morning we had our first Blackcap of the 'winter' when a male decided to utilise our sunflower seed feeder. A still photo from another one of my video attempts follows...............................

  1. I've seen two or three pairs in Alexandra Park this year. The first time it was the song amongst all the blackbirds which I noticed. Not sure if I'm just becoming better at birdwatching or if the blackcaps are becoming more common? I've seen them before in Alexandra Park but only singly and in mid summer. In the winter they're not unusual at feeders in my garden nearby.
