Bingham's Pond - Swan Update

I mentioned a few posts ago that I had informed the Council that the female swan at Bingham's Pond was 'injured'.

I can advise that a City Council Countryside Ranger has rescued the swan and taken her to the Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue Centre.

It is hoped that she will be returned fit and well in the near future.

Well done the Council and Hessilhead!

  1. The male swan has now disappeared, was it taken away or has it flown ? On Friday morning it flew into the bus shelter on the opposite side of Great Western Road from the pond. The sat on the central reservation for a while. It was back on the pond at lunchtime but had gone by Monday (28th Jan)
Pond very quite without them :-(
